Intelligibility of Complex Networks. Urbanization Road to a Harmonious City
نویسنده
چکیده
We suggest a principle of intelligibility for complex networks accordingly to which any global characteristic relevant a node in a complex network (e.g. it's centrality, it's accessibility from other nodes, etc.) scales with its local property (degree). We also relate the properties of random walks defined on the dual graph representation of a transport network to the unique equilibrium configuration of not random commodity flows along edges of its primary graph representation that unveils the role Markov's chain processes and space syntax approach play in the successful traffic modelling.

Potential measurement of pedestrian traffic in Kashan city with emphasis on urban planning indicators
According to Jane Jacobs, the main part of the concept of "street life" lies in its pedestrians. From his point of view, these are busy and vibrant walkways that give meaning to the city center by providing a social interactive environment. The existence of communities to achieve sustainable transport goals is obvious because it improves displacement, reduces the negative environmental impacts...

متن کاملSe p 20 07 Discovering Important Nodes Through Graph Entropy Encoded in Urban Space Syntax
Potentially influential spaces in the spatial networks of cities can be detected by means of the entropy participation ratios. Local (connectivity) and global (centrality) entropies are considered. While the connectivity entropy has a tendency to increase with the city size, the centrality entropy is decreasing that reflects the global connectedness of cities. In urban networks , the local and ...
متن کاملA Quality Assessment of National Territory Use at the City Level: A Planning Review Perspective
With increasing urbanization, the populations in China’s cities are growing, and the cities themselves are gradually expanding. Competition for access to the national territory’s resources is also growing. Thus, the quality of national territory use is worsening. Quality assessments on national territory use can provide a basis for solving this issue. By combining the implications of new urbani...
